Occupy UC Davis General Assembly on Nov 21st, with an estimated 5000 participants, has called for a UC-wide “general strike” on Monday, November 28th, to coincide with the multi-campus UC Regents meeting. While the strike action has been officially ratified by student or staff unions at the various campuses, several groups are planning walk-outs, teach-ins and protests in support of the call. Local actions will include the UCSD Public Education Coalition’s full-day “study-out” in front of the Silent Tree.
