The San Diego Faculty Association (SDFA) advocates for academic freedom, research in the public interest, fair pay, and affordable, high quality public education -- in the courts, in the legislature, and in coalition with other workers.

SDFA is a dues-supported membership organization that gives Senate faculty an independent voice systemwide as part of the Council of UC Faculty Associations (CUCFA), and nationwide as a partner of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP)
