On November 7th, 2011, the California Faculty Association (CFA) Board of Directors and Chapter Presidents voted to authorize a one-day faculty strike at CSU East Bay and CSU Dominguez Hills. The strike is aimed at the CSU chancellor, demanding fairness in bargaining over modest raises recommended by two different fact-finding reports. Faculty associations, labor unions and public officials across the country have come out in support of the strike.

Meanwhile, picketing continues at CSU and UC campuses across the state this week, including a three-day series of walk-outs and teach-ins led by UCSD students.
